Prizes and awards
We're giving away prizes and awards to encourage people to give the challenge a go.
Prize draws
- £150 worth of cycle vouchers for one lucky person who signs up for the challenge and completes the short questionnaire
- Each week of the challenge, we'll award £100 worth of cycle vouchers to a participant chosen at random
- Free cycle training places to the first 150 registrants who contact Cycle Training UK and quote 'Cycle Challenge'.
Awards
We'll also be recognising organisations with the following awards
- Best Performing Organisations Award - just get as many people to join as a percentage of your total workforce
- Most New Cyclists Award - for the organisation that recruits the highest number of people who are new to cycling
- Highest Mileage Award - for the organisation that records the highest number of miles during the challenge
To be in with a chance of winning an award, your organisation just has to get as many of its employees as possible to jump on a bike in June and log the trips that they make by bike on the Cycle Challenge website.
A representative from each winning organisation will be invited to attend a special event to collect the award and you'll also get a free victory breakfast for everyone that who took part within your organisation.
Categories
To make sure everything is fair, we've allowed for different organisation sizes. This way you will be competing against organisations of a similar size. There's an award for each of the following size organisations:
- Small Organisation - 6-19 Employees
- Enterprise Organisation - 20-250 Employees
- Corporate Organisation - 251-1000 Employees
- Large Corporate Organisation - 1001+ Employees
If your organisation has fewer than 6 employees then you won't be eligible for awards, but you can still use the website to log the miles you cycle, and you'll still get the chance to win in the free prize draws.
